Awards

A list of the most important milestones that have marked Giancarlo Perbellini’s career.
The first prize, which was awarded in part thanks to Antonio Santini of the Pescatore di Canneto sull’Oglio, dates back to 1992. Since then, a series of recognitions have not stopped the desire to be called into question: the chef’s motto is, “Taste has no finish lines”.

After the presentation of the 2015 Touring Guide, Giancarlo Perbellini was given the “Olimpo Restaurant Management Award”.

At the end of the evening organized by Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Bailliage in Venice for the event “Carnevale del Gusto” 2015, he was awarded with the Chaîne medal.

SOMMELIER DELLE VENEZIE

The newspaper “Venezie Post” and the wine producer “Santa Margherita di Fossalta di Portogruaro” bestowed on the chef the award “Sommelier delle Venezie” for 2014.

In 2010, Giancarlo was named President of the very well-known international competition “Bocuse d’Or” of the Italy section and member of the European section.

The Guide to Restaurants in Italy by “Espresso” named him “best emerging chef” for 1998.

FIRST MICHELIN STAR

In 1996, the director of the Michelin Guide visited “Perbellini” in Isola Rizza. “I enjoyed myself”, he said to Giancarlo, “see you again in ten years”. The chef was awarded his first Michelin star.

Cappello d'oro

CHEF EUROPEEN DU POISSON 1992

In 1992, Giancarlo Perbellini was invited to participate in the “Chef Européen du Poisson” competition and won first the Special Prize for the best fish soup and then first place in the competition.
